Azuki To Adorn a Real Formula 1 Race Car In Abu Dhabi

Oracle Red Bull Racing, a Formula One racing team, has made F1 history in partnership with Bybit and Azuki creator Chiru Labs. The 2022 season finale in Abu Dhabi featured an Azuki NFT on the team cars for all to see. Further, it’s the first time in history that a blue-chip NFT has ever been on an F1 race car.

Lei the Lightning Azuki

The famed Azuki riding alongside Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez is named Lei the Lightning Azuki (Azuki #8494). The original Azuki from the popular anime-inspired NFT collection designed by lead Azuki artist, Steamboy, embodies all of ORBR’s values. In addition, Lei’s bold and distinct characteristics epitomise the coming together of teams from diverse industries. Moreover, Lei’s ability to harness the power of lightning to gain power and speed will be needed to make the ORBR team cross the finish line first.

“We are excited to announce our partnership with Oracle Red Bull Racing and Bybit. Lei the Lightning Azuki reflects the passion, precision, and raw power of Oracle Red Bull Racing. We look forward to telling Lei’s story in the 2023 F1 season,” said Azuki founder Zagabond.

Did someone say free Lei the Lightning Azuki NFTs?

To commemorate this time in F1 history, Steamboy has created a ‘Lei of the Lightning’ Azuki NFT for the public to claim. In detail, the collection of 7,700 NFTs will be a free mint taking place on November 20. The limited edition collection will be available exclusively through the Bybit NFT marketplace and will be minted on the Tezos blockchain.

“This is a unique piece of artwork and a timeless moment. We anticipate exciting things from this unique collaboration and Lei the Lightning Azuki. He’s such a striking character and a bridge linking the racing, crypto, and NFT communities. We know they are all going to jump at the chance to own a piece of history,”said Ben Zhou, Bybit’s co-founder and CEO.

Additionally, the Azuki team is preparing all holders for the Abu Dhabi race with F1 race jackets. The Azuki team has allowed holders to equip their Azuki characters with the same jacket Lei the Lightning is wearing. To earn a unique community badge, holders have to equip the jacket and share it on Twitter. Also, don’t forget to use the hashtag #AzukiF1 !
