Floyd Mayweather will fight Don Moore in world’s first NFT pay-per-view event

  • The iconic Burj Al Arab in Dubai is the venue of the event, with the fight ring on the hotel’s helipad.

Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather and ‘Dangerous’ Don Moore will take part in a historic exhibition match this May, the Global Titans Fight Series has announced.

The event, which will be staged on the helipad of the iconic Burj Al Arab in Dubai and is dubbed “The Showcase in the Skies of Dubai.” Set for 14 May 2022, it’s going to be the world’s first-ever NFT pay-per-view event.

The event, also involving several other boxing champions, will be available exclusively to NFT ticket holders.  

Access will see fans get a live-stream of the PPV event as well as other benefits, according to Global Titans. The extras include limited-edition tradeable 3D collectibles, an exclusive video, and official photos highlighting memorable moments of the event.

For fans interested in getting more than just witnessing the fight, Global Titans FS says there’s more. Per the platform, trading is available before and after the event. Future access and other incentives could all contribute to the NFT ticket’s value.

The tickets are currently on sale on Rarible, a leading NFT marketplace for minting and trading digital artwork and other creative content. Global Titans Fight Series partnered with MintGate to launch the NFT pay-per-view concept.
