Dogecoin (DOGE), the crypto industry’s meme-inspired cryptocurrency, continued to climb as the weekend approached, which is likely no accident. This weekend will likely be huge, not only for DOGE but for many other cryptocurrencies, as the crypto world awaits Saturday Night Live, later today, as Elon Musk is going to make an appearance and make a speech.
Now, Elon Musk is known for many things. He is the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, he is the creator of PayPal, he got to be the world’s richest person for a brief period earlier this year, and much more. However, as of late, Musk has been heavily involved with the cryptocurrency industry, which is why the entire crypto world is expecting him to talk about crypto and use this opportunity to boost exposure.
The very expectation of this happening seems to be enough to boost the crypto prices, and the appearance itself, depending on how it goes, might push digital coins even higher.
Crypto betting spikes up again
The pending appearance has even turned into a massive trend, and, just like every big event, it has triggered countless crypto bets throughout the industry. While some may wonder what is there to bet upon, the fact is that there is quite a wide selection — people started betting whether or not Musk will talk about cryptos at all, and if so, which coins will be mentioned, and which ones might not be.
The odds are currently in DOGE’s favor, although many seem to think that he will not be talking about cryptos, at all. Here is what the bets look like right now:

Many have also speculated that Musk might mention friends, family, and rivals, with the odds looking like this:

7. Jay Leno: +1500

Finally, there were also bets about whether Tesla stock will go up next Monday, following the appearance:
1. Up 1% or more: -250
2. Down 1% or more: +550
3. Neither: +650
So, whatever happens, and regardless of what Musk ends up talking about, this will be a very exciting moment for the crypto industry, as well as anyone who made any sort of bet about his appearance on SNL.
