Game Maker 0.8 will allow users to develop games and experiences free of charge. With this tool, individuals will be able to create virtual worlds without any coding skills. The update includes audio and video streaming, lighting, and visual effects upgrades. The features will enable more sophisticated immersive experiences, such as virtual concerts and parties.

Game Maker will also include updated multiplayer gaming features, enabling players to socialize and compete with one another. More than that, creators will be able to engage users in a new way by providing action-packed experiences.

Generally speaking, the update is focused on new ways of socializing with other users. For instance, players will be able to create their metaverse-based social spaces and invite other users to join. In addition, The Sandbox will add an upgraded emote wheel with different avatar animations that help express one’s state and feelings. Individuals will also have the option to express themselves by dressing their avatars in customized wearables and equipment.

Aspiring game developers can already download Game Maker for Windows and macOS devices. Notably, users will have the opportunity to use free NFT voxel models to develop their 3D games.

In the previous month, The Sandbox introduced several new gamified experiences. The metaverse hosted the CFDA’s exhibition, which celebrated the 60th anniversary of the Council of Fashion Designers of America. Men’s magazine Playboy also celebrated its birthday in The Sandbox.
